Activity Holiday Terms & Conditions
When you have completed a booking form and/or paid a deposit, you and all named persons on your booking form enter a contract with Abdet Holidays.
Although unlikely we do reserve the right to cancel a holiday if the minimum number of participants, 3 is not reached within 7 days of the start date. A full refund will be given.
By submitting the booking form, you are accepting, on behalf of all named persons on the booking form, the terms and conditions below. Although unusual we do reserve the right to refuse any booking.
Once the official end date of the holiday is reached we are no longer responsible for the welfare and well being of the client.
To participate in a holiday
You must be 12 years of age or older to join a holiday. All persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 25 who accepts responsibility for them. All persons under the age of 18 joining a holiday without a parent or legal guardian must submit a letter countersigned by a parent or legal guardian.
Bookings are accepted on the understanding that all persons travelling are normally in good health and able to fulfil the physical demands of the chosen holiday. We must be notified of any pre-existing medical conditions at the time of booking, or as soon as possible should such a condition arise after the time of booking. Please do not take risks while on an activity holiday. In the interests of safety, you must follow the guidance in our notes, as well as that provided by anybody on our behalf; comply with any local codes of conduct, follow the Country Code, and act sensibly and prudently at all times. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents before departure.
All payments are in GBP. A deposit £150 per person is required at the time of booking, payable by cheque, bank transfer, paypal or credit card. The balance of your holiday is payable six weeks before the start of the holiday. If the deposit or balance of your holiday price is not paid by the specified due dates, your booking might be cancelled. Special offers are only available at times of offer and cannot be claimed retrospectively.
Changes to your holiday
If you have to make changes:
If you need to make changes to your booking, we will endeavour to satisfy your request but cannot guarantee that your changes will be possible.
In the event of either you or a named person on your booking form being unable to join your holiday, the place may be transferred to another person but only after:
i) A "Transfer of Booking" form has been completed and returned;
ii) the total holiday price on the original booking form has been paid in full;
iii) each transfer of place will incur a change of booking fee of £20 .
In order to maintain your safety, enjoyment and comfort during your holiday, we reserve the right to make changes to your itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances, e.g. severe weather conditions. If we have to make major changes to your holiday prior to your holiday start date, you will be notified of the changes in advance in writing. If you are not satisfied with the changes, you will be offered an alternative holiday or a full refund.
We reserve the right to exclude any persons from part or all of their holiday itinerary if reasonably judged by the tour leader to be: inappropriately insured; physically or mentally unfit to participate safely and responsibly, or; behaving in an inappropriate or offensive manner. In such circumstances, refunds might be made at our discretion.
If you have to cancel:
If you have to cancel your booking or the place(s) of a named person(s) on your booking form, you must let us know in writing. Please contact us by email so that we can act upon your cancellation immediately, however, you must also confirm your request in writing. The following cancellation fees will apply:

You might be able to recover some or all of your cancellation costs through your personal travel insurance.
Although unusual, we reserve the right to cancel any holiday booking. If you breach the terms and conditions of your booking, we might cancel your holiday and you will be subject to the same fees that would apply to you if you were to cancel your holiday (see ‘If you have to cancel’). In the unlikely event that we have to cancel your holiday due to unforeseen circumstances, e.g. force majeure (natural disaster, civil unrest), you will be offered an alternative walking holiday or a full refund of all monies paid.
We endeavour to be a responsible holiday provider do our best to ensure your safety at all times. However, you participate in a holiday at your own risk and you will be required to sign a waiver of liability to this effect at the start of your holiday.
Personal travel insurance
You must have adequate holiday insurance to cover your level of activity (Cycling, Running or Walking). No refunds will be made should you be excluded from the walking programme through being uninsured.
We do our very best to ensure that your holiday is everything you expected it to be (and more!), and that you return home happy and satisfied with your time spent with us. However, if any problem should arise during your holiday, please inform us as soon as possible so that the problem can be resolved quickly and efficiently. We are a small familyrun business, your custom is very important to us and we will always do our very best to help you.
We do not provide any of the following activities
Rock climbing, Mountain Climbing, Canyoning, Caving, Abseiling or any roped activity. Information on these activities are provided on or website, but they are all undertaken at your own risk. We do advise that you contact a qualified guide for these activities.
