7 Day Guided Walking Holiday
You get of the beaten track on this holiday and discover the some amazing landsapes including "forests" of rock pinnacles, ravines, incredible arches and mountains shattered by earthquakes.

Location: Guadalest Valley (Sierra Aixrta, Sierra Serrella & Sierra Aitana) & Sierra Mariola.
Itinerary: This is a typical weeks walking, but it may vary according to weather conditions, etc,
Day 1: Arrival in Abdet. A short walk around the village (depending on your arrival time), looking at some old mills, ancleint irrigation systems, and the old wash house (lavadero).
Day 2: The Rock Arches of Sierra Aixorta. A walk along the sublime Tanxat Canyon and then a visit to the amazing double rock arches on Sierra Aixorta, an amazing geological formation.
Day 3: Barranc del Cint and the Vulture Colony. The deep cleft of the Barranc del Cint is home to many vultures that soar on the thermals, it is an unforgetable sight.
Day 4: Secret Sanchet. One of our most favourite walks which explores hidden Moorish trails and visits the vast rock faces on Pena Roc
Day 5: Els Frares Rock Pinnacles. This walk includes a visit to mountainside covered in 100's of bizzarely shaped pinnacles, arches and fins of limestone, a unique geological encounter!
Day 6: Aitana Summit and the Boulder Field traverse. This walk visits the highest summit in Valenica at over 5,000 feet, where we explore some enormous rock crevasses (100's of mertres deep) and also a great path through the Partagat boulder field
Day 7: Mala de Llop & the Hidden Gateway. Ascending via a path that takes use through a huge natural arch we explore the unlikely hanging valley of Mala de Lop with its amazing echos and forgotten settlements.
Day 8: Depart Abdet
As part of the week you are invited to help clear/maintain some local walking paths. This involves clearing collapsed walls and rocks, cutting back fallen trees and thorns, and making signs. This is of course optional and is just for half a day, it's actually great fun!
